Apache Kennels is located about twenty miles north east of Birmingham, Alabama in the small city of Clay. We started out as a small hobby breeder more than twelve years ago, through hard work, education and our love for animals we now produce a line of show quality dogs. We are just as committed today as the day we started to produce a good healthy pet that is as content laying in your lap or strutting in the show ring. We will never breed a dog just on looks alone, we believe that each dog should be a loving, healthy pet first and then a show winning champion! Though not all dogs are destined for the show ring, they all should be loved!

  We found that through breeding quality dogs as close to the breed standard and through health testing, we achieved good health and proper structure . All of our dogs are exercised daily and allowed to play and inter act with people and other dogs. They are all treated as part of the family. Our kennels are cleaned daily and AKC inspected annually.

     Apache Kennels specializes in three different breeds and strives to produce show quality puppies in all three breeds! We take great pride in all of our dogs and never buy into a new breed prior to studying the breed in the ring as well as in the library first! We may dedicate up to a year to the study of a breed prior to our first purchase. At Apache Kennels we only breed AKC registered dogs.

    We believe that knowledge is the key factor in the consideration of purchasing any puppy. Many of our clients are not interested in raising a show dog, but only want a healthy loving pet to accompany them for years to come. They search comparing prices alone and often settle for a cheaper lower quality dog. Through our experience we have found these dogs were bred strictly for profit and high quantities! These dogs usually develop health issues later in life. Some even have temperament issues at the time of purchase, from lack of socialization, that cause problems later in life!
